Product Description

Eco Bond Slate Lightweight Plastic Roof Tile – Grey (Pack of 16)

The Eco Bond Slate Lightweight Plastic Roof Tile offers an innovative roofing solution that combines technical efficiency with ecological sustainability…

Eco Bond Slate is suitable for conservatories, sheds, outbuildings and garages.

The Eco Bond Slate provides a modern roofing solution that is strong, flexible, and visually appealing, making it suitable for a variety of building applications, including low-angle and curved roofs. With its natural slate appearance and available colours—Grey, Red, and Green—Eco Bond Slate offers aesthetic versatility.

Installation is straightforward: the slates attach directly to a plywood or oriented strand board (OSB) base, eliminating the need for roof battens. Simply apply a standard breathable underlay, then nail each slate by hand using 16mm hot-dip galvanized annular ring shank nails with a minimum 5mm head—nail guns should not be used. Pre-marked guides for nail positions and spacers make the process easy and precise.

This method creates a durable, flexible membrane that enhances wind and weather resistance while providing better insulation, even at low roof pitches.

Eco Bond Slate installation is highly cost-effective, requiring less than half the time of traditional slate installation, without any of the breakage, waste, or damage associated with natural slate.

Over time, the slates bond together under sunlight to form a solid, seamless membrane. This bonding process accelerates in sunnier weather, bonding faster in summer than in winter.
